About Minecraft India

Minecraft India is the largest and longest-running Minecraft community in India. It began on 22 August 2016 as a Facebook group, started by a player who had gone looking for other Indian Minecraft players and found no central place where they gathered. Twenty-eight people joined at the outset; the community now has more than 28,000 members.

The Facebook group remains the community's main platform. Most activity still happens there: members post builds and screenshots, ask questions about the game, and find other people to play with. The community's purpose has stayed the same since it began. To give new and experienced players somewhere to share the love for the game, meet other players, and show what they have built.

Between 2020 and 2024 Minecraft India ran five seasons of survival multiplayer. The first two ran on Minecraft Realms, powered by Indian Youthful Gamer. From the third season onward the community hosted full servers of its own. Season five ended in May 2024, and no sixth season has been announced.

The community also runs a Discord server, a YouTube channel, a subreddit, a Telegram channel, an X account, a LinkedIn page and a GitHub organisation. Activity varies across them.

Minecraft India is independent and player-run community, and is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.
